Secured Credit Cards

Credit cards for people with bad credit that require some sort of deposit for approval. Most cards listed report to credit reporting agencies, that may potentially help you establish credit.   • Orchard Bank MasterCard - Offers secured credit cards for customers with bad credit histories. Orchard Bank offers a single application and determines your eligibility for a secured or unsecured credit card based on your income and credit history. Fill out the application to see which you qualify for, and Orchard Bank will offer details of rates and fees on their secured credit cards once you've been given a specific credit card offer.

  • Bank of America Secured Visa - Deposit between $300 up to $10,000 into a Bank of America security deposit account, then your secured credit line is the same as the amount of your deposit. You can then make purchases with your card up to the amount you have in your security deposit account.

  • New Millennium Bank Secured Credit Card - Secured credit card with credit lines secured by your savings account in amounts between $300.00 and $5,000.00.

  • Ultra VX Secured Visa Credit Card - Secured credit card allows you to deposit up to $25,000 to secure your credit line of up to that same amount.

  • Amalgamated Bank Secured Gold MasterCard - Secured credit card offers a Prime + 8.0% rate and a $50 annual fee.

  • American Savings Bank Secured Visa - Line of credit is secured by an equal amount of funds held on deposit in a Statement Savings account at American Savings Bank.

  • Citi Secured MasterCard - Deposit money into an interest-earning Certificate of Deposit (CD) and that money becomes the backing for your secured credit card.

  • Merrick Bank Secured MasterCard - Make a security deposit between $300 and $3,000; that is your secured card's credit line. Merrick Bank reports to the major credit reporting agencies.

  • US Bank Secured Visa Credit Card - Make a security deposit between $300 and $5,000, which is deposited in a bank account. This acts as your credit line, but payments are not deducted from this account as long as you make your monthly payments on time.

  • Wells Fargo Secured Credit Card - Make a deposit of $300-$5,000 to a "collateral account." Your collateral account determines your limit, and that money is held as a deposit. You make monthly payments on your charges, just like a credit card.
