Lowe's Introduces Habitat for Humanity Affinity Card
The
home improvement retailer Lowe's
announced today a new Lowe's card that will benefit local Habitat
for Humanity affiliates.
Through
the end of 2005, Lowe's customers can designate which local
Habitat for Humanity affiliate to credit, and scan the card
with each Lowe's purchase, generating points for their registered
affiliate. Grants of $5,000 will be awarded to the eight Habitat
affiliates with the greatest number of points. Through the Lowe's
Habitat card, Lowe's will award a total of $40,000 to affiliates.
Habitat
for Humanity is a non-profit organization that builds affordable
housing for low-income people. The organization has built more
than 200,000 houses since its founding in 1976.
