HSBC Acquires Boscov’s Credit Card Accounts
HSBC has acquired the credit card accounts of Boscov’s Department Stores, paying a $29 million premium for $179 million in credit card receivables. Customers should not be affected by the change, according to a press release from HSBC. Boscov’s Department Stores is based in Reading, Pennsylvania, and includes 40 stores, mainly in Pennsylvania but also in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
