Olivia, a cruise and vacation resort company targeted to lesbians, has introduced the Olivia Credit Card in partnership with card issuer MBNA.
“By using their Olivia credit cards on everyday purchases, our customers will earn points redeemable for Olivia dollars, which can be used to buy down the value of Olivia trips, get upgrades, or even purchase entire vacations,” said Amy Errett, CEO of Olivia.

According to the Olivia Web site, Olivia charters entire ships and resorts to create vacation experiences geared to lesbian women, and have featured athletes and entertainers including Martina Navratilova, Whoopi Goldberg, Margaret Cho, the Indigo Girls, Melissa Etheridge and more. Formed in 1973, Olivia says that over 75,000 people have traveled with them in the past ten years.

While Olivia’s press release claims that the Olivia Credit Card is the first to cater to the lesbian market, another card targeted to the gay and lesbian market, the Rainbow Card, has existed since the mid-1990s. More information and online application for the Olivia Credit Card is available at the Olivia Web site.
